Put in simple terms I guess that I’m just your average vet, which means that this page is probably going to be quite short. I treat anything that you don’t ride or eat (in most countries) and I love almost every moment of it. Somewhere along the way I fell into TV work alongside my veterinary career and this has allowed me to do so many things that I just never imagined I would be able to do when I decided at the age of 11 that I wanted to be a vet. I’ve have been incredibly fortunate in the opportunities that have come my way and count myself so lucky that this is what I get to do with my life. I might not get to travel the world any more having settled down in the Peak District as a small animal vet, but I still get to spend my days doing something I love so what started as a blog designed to help people get into vet school has evolved into the mostly incoherent ramblings of a woman that just wants to share her experiences with the world.
Thanks for joining.
Now, just admit it, as soon as I said that I’m a vet, there was one question that entered your mind wasn’t there? It’s OK, you can admit it. You immediately wanted to ask if I have ever had my hand up a cow. So, in order to pre-empt that particular question, here is a list of some of the animals I have had my hands inside at one time of another….
- Guinea pig
- Various types of monkey
- And various others!
There, happy now? Yeah, I thought so.
